AlphaHealthcheck: HOW TO REDUCE THE RISK OF A STROKE

The physical changes that cause a stroke usually take place over many years, some people born with a higher risk of having a stroke. Age, sex, race, and having had a prior stroke are risk factors that can not be changed.
 
CONTROLLABLE RISK FACTORS FOR STROKE
The underlisted factors are to be controlled against stroke:
(1)   High blood pressure
(2)   Atrial fibrillation
(3)   Uncontrolled diabetes
(4)   High cholesterol
(5)   Smoking
(6)   Excessive alcohol intake
(7)   Obesity
(8)   Carotid or coronary artery disease
