Listen, Always Listen

 #AlphasoarsChief writes,

Having lived a couple of years, I can confirm to you that you 'only' live by the amount of information you have been able to garner to yourself.
This is that part where one need to understand that living by personal experiences is inconsequential, time consuming and foolish. This is so when there abound a trillion information birthed on the experiences of others that can help you sail through the waves that tries to obstruct your progress on the sea of life.
Always Listen to learn, not always to respond. You can always have opinion about issues but sometimes when your contribution is not consequential to decision making at the moment, please pause, sit back and take a moment and look at the opinion you wanted to throw out, weighing it with the already served opinions from others and see if yours will bring light or more darkness to the matter discussed.
Always listen, tomorrow's choices depend on your attentiveness today.
In a certain dilemma once and had to talk to a former colleague and he gave me a two sentence advice. I understood his stand point but the application of what he said to my present predicament doesn't seem to add up. Not until some months after, I had to refer to his advice and smile.
Always listen to live. People have gone through the journey you are embarking on, they can help you make progress, just ask them 'HOW'.

Happy Soaring!

Chicken Republic sacks two security guards - True test of Advanced Personnel Management

Some weeks back in Nigeria, there was a wide spread discussion on on various of it's social media platforms especially on twitter. It is a case involving two security guards at Chicken Republic, a fast food company with locations across the country. A video surfaced online where two of the guards were seen dancing. The development seems to have triggered a negative reaction from the franchise and it was learnt that appointment of the two young adults were immediately terminated.

It cause an uproar as some condemned the company for taking such decision. They termed it rash and insensitive. On the other hand, some persons argue
d for the company, condemning the action of the two guards who they mostly termed careless and rude who have disrespected their job roles and their employee.

While certain narratives will mostly suit well for anyone who takes side in any side of the discourse. For me, I will think this situation exposes the personnel management issues Nigeria's public and private sector is currently experiencing. A very bad omen where an employee of a company will be relieved of his duties, not for outright and flagrant abuse of office but for a genuine invention that helps the business outlook.

One may not understand if there were laws made in the institutions I just talked about where it was specified that an employee cannot dance around in whatever form in and around the premises. It will be absurd if such laws actually existed in such an organization where entertainment is key factor in customer's patronage. Because their acts which might or might not be harmful, depending on what angle you look at it from, has the ability to change the mood of buyers and patronage for the given day.

This post is not for or against the institution. But one seeking to tell institutions to intentionally encourage employees to employ whatever means necessary that conforms to the type of business environment they are in, that will only invite more investors and patronage. Employees should not be made to live their lives on a straight line kind of job routine without inventing or contributing ideas for the organizational growth.

Captains of industries as well should encourage their workforce by looking at ideas that they bring, without tossing them aside almost immediately. Employees should be made to take part in the business. People always have a sense of belonging only when their contributions are appreciated. This people are not just the key policy makers but also include the other workers who their job descriptions might seem less important and irrelevant.

Happy soaring.

Theory of Social Media and Where to Find Help

The scale and height of social media influence in our lives today greatly overburdens theorists who tend to find it hard to analyze.

Theorist who fall into this category will quickly generalize in order to give a straight answer that, Social media is comparable to water and therefore conclude that Social Media is life. This opinion is right in a way and that is, social media and its features have enabled the rise and fall of humans.

Some people have their lives scheduled according to the dictates of social media apps on their electronic devices. Someone jokingly said, the sleeping schedule of people in this generation depends solely on the amount of battery life in their phones. Quit true. Let me give you a hint to what am driving at . . .

Mr. John gets back from a tiring day at the office. He gets into the shower and freshens up in order to relax his body with a deserving sleep. He lies down on his bed but quickly gets up and reaches for his tablet. He intends to clear all received mails for that day before finally taking his sleep. While trying to to clear the received mails, he stumbles on a peculiar mail from a stock brokerage company he intends to buy shares from. He becomes glued to his phone until the next morning at about 5am.

This schedule happened for many more weeks and, well, he woke up right after a two hours short nap but his body quickly began to feel the negative impact when he developed insomnia and fell into many stress induced disorders.

The theory put forward by many social media enthusiasts is that, it can help you grow and be outstanding in your career. But where can Mr. John find help when he has not been advised on the negative influence of what he is getting addicted to? There is need to balance every information we sell or buy. While you can get addicted to social media, you can get help as well from it - Just ask Google!😂

But hey, don't get attracted!

REVEALED! THE ONLY POLITICIAN THAT SPOKE DIRECTLY WITH GOD

Oga is the best politician around. Like other politicians, he also attends church services to do thanksgiving and see things for himself. Oga at the top is always on ground. If you are a citizen of Nigeria, you will know that this is a popular cliché with our very own politicians whenever they want to assure their followers, they will always sing the line, “We are always on ground”. And I will be asking, “If you are on ground, what are the things you are doing to make things works and be better than you met them when you came?”

In the book of job chapter one, the devil also went to service. He went to church or mosque or whatsoever you call your place of worship to present himself before God. Like people go to church on the first of the year or the first Sunday, Oga also went to worship God. He also told God this exact line that our politicians have become accustomed to. When God asked him why he came around and what he has been up to lately, Uncle said, “I have been walking to and fro the earth”. In other words, he has been on ground.

Our politicians will start campaign any moment from now and they will start walking up and down the whole place and shouting, ‘we are on ground’. I hope you as a citizen use your initiative when promoting these failed players. And that you will not be the one they will ride on to their next political agenda.

Let’s be wise and always at all times exercise our franchise. Be vote ready!

But in other news, why will God look at Satan that was minding his business and start asking him, 'have you considered my servant Job?'. Ah Ah. Why? But God should have left the young man who has been on ground but don't have anything doing. Let him be! But it seems, since God hates idleness and Satan has been idling around, He just wanted to give him small assignment. Get busy!

Four Important things Every Woman Wants In a Relationship

There are certain things peculiar to a group of persons. They engage in those things to seek entertainment, company and fulfillment. Children always want music, sing them lullaby and they'll crawl unto their beds and sleep fine. As with the children, so other group of people have things that give them peace of mind and satisfaction.

I want to briefly talk about four important things that woman always want and which many men neglect. In our age today, women tend to hide the fragility nature in them as they try to lay claim to the notion that they are equal to the men.

Given the above, one of the things every woman want from her man is the opportunity to express herself in every circumstance. Women no longer want to be boxed into corners where they will be assigned some inferior tasks. They want to feel their environment listening to them and taking instructions from them. So every man that want to make her woman happy has to give her that opportunity to be expressive wherever and whenever the opportunity calls. Don't try to send her to the room because you think their are important matters you need to discuss and which you think her opinion won't be needed.

Another thing she want from you is the ability to read you. Some female folks think some men intentionally make themselves difficult to understand. No, she want to be able to say "I know what my man wants". She will like to brag to friends that she knows her man in-and-out. Don't be too secretive in your finances and your spending.

The third thing she want from you is that you intentionally share responsibility. These responsibilities encompasses those things tagged women's work. Don't entirely neglect the kitchen department for her. Go to the kitchen as often as possible. Do the laundry without her asking at least once every week. When it comes to chores around the house, don't push them to her, do them as often as you can.

Finally, her emotional need must be paramount to you. In all the responsibilities you undertake, don't forget to always take care of her emotional needs. Compliment her often. Don't forget the names you were calling her when you were wooing her all of a sudden because she has finally agreed to date you. Buy her gift especially gift that are conspicuous that she can show off to her female friends at the slightest opportunities. Kiss her forehead!

Messi Returns to Barcelona . . . 😕

So Messi actually returned to Barcelona after his break to sign his new and improved (although downwards) contract but was met with a disappointing news. He could not sign, as his contract although having being reviewed with 50% off cannot  be accommodated in Barca's huge wage bills. He has to be told to look for another club.

Can you believe that after a whole twenty one years, Barcelona is going to be without Lionel Messi 😭😭. Only God knows how am feeling. Heartbreaks have taken a better part of me over the years with players leaving albeit in a post-playing manner - not over contract difficulties. I was saddened when Iniesta left. One of the greatest players of our time and incredible player of the game. I almost shed a tear when Suarez was forced to leave the club as well when Roanld Koeman came in and decided to tweak the team in a certain way.

Of all the dissapointed over the years and some of them been Barcelona losing three matches that could have won us the league last season, the one that pains me the most is our captain leaving this summer. E choke o!

I am a bit disappointed that this happened but I want to take great solace in that he is going for a great challenge elsewhere. Not going down but upwards. He has signed a two year contract with Paris Saint-Germain with option of a third. Every fan of his will support his moves and as such not join in the bandwagon of irrelevant demeaning discussion about the Great. Since we all love Barca and Messi, we will also encourage PSG to not let Messi down, so we will have to cheer PSG to victory but in case the Champions League final is between PSG and Barcelona . . .

Two Types of People You Should Never Employ in Your Organisation

I have thought of talking about this subject for a few weeks now. But I have had to use the flat four cornered black keyboard on my work desk to type some other things. Sitting on my office desk today, keenly observing the best office ergonomic approach, I have decided to put pen to paper, oh scratch that, Keyboard to text I meant to say . . .yeah.

Please the above statement is just me trying to look for a new way to introduce my topics on this platform. So please pardon my manners. Now let's get to the topic, shall we . . .

You will agree with me that organisations that are thriving today have done so because they have recruited capable hands to manage their daily affairs. And to this feat, we give kudos to the Human Resources department for such diligent in making only the right people are engaged. While we reminisce on this feat, we also need to understand that some organiations have not been so lucky in their recruitment process. The have hired some individuals who have questionable characters and motives and thereby slowing down the organisation from achieving it's set goals and objectives.

Today, I want to talk about two types of persons that do not deserve a place in your establishment as they will reduce the organisational work process to the barest minimum. At such, steady losses and dissatisfaction from customers will be encountered.

First on the list are the opportunist. Opportunist are people who try to circumvene organisational process to suit their selfish aims. They always try to by pass protocols and take advantage of certain circumstances in the organisation for their own profit.

Companies and related ventures are set up to make gains and profit. And from those profits, Salaries and wages are paid to staff. Utility management is sorted out. So when companies do not make gains, the organisation might not be able to meet up with it's responsibilities which will negatively impact the contracted personnel. And why this is so sometimes is because some opportunistic individuals recruited by the company have decided to exploit loopholes in the organisation to their own gain and at the company's detriment.

This set of people deserve no job. Regular and thorough auditing could fish out most of these opportunistic group in the company fold. And when they are found, you know what to do. (In case you don't know what to do, send me a mail. I would gladly help).

The second set of persons are those that can mostly be known through customer satisfaction survey. Their actions put the company the work for in great grave danger. They are the Sadists. They drive pain in seeing other people suffer and as a business owner, it is not different. They are only happy when the company makes losses. And only then are they satisfied.

Sadists turn turn every opportunity to attend to customers as opportunities or avenues to satisfy their ill fated barbaric desires. They hijack organisational processes and re-author then to fit their goals. Sometimes, their ill fated mandate to see another sad, cumulates most times in sexual advances and sexual satisfaction. They are aggressive and tend towards organised rapists and kidnappers.

They manifest in higher institutions as lecturers and professors who will do anything and everything possible to frustrate students of opposite sex and this they do to satisfy their sexual tendencies. We hear a lot about this type of lecturers, who are only out to disgrace and put their institutions to shame. They exist in every institutions. They are sadists!

Do not engage them in your organisations.

What do you think, talk to me via the comments.

Everything Goes: Sports, Politics and Economics

Hello everyone, here is where I rant on anything and everything. Sometimes, we are serious in writing well researched essays, other times we just want to be free and use the space whichever way we want.

So here on Alphasoars Blog, updates will be coming up quick and fast. One of them will definitely be on sports. I am a great lover of football. I played football while growing up almost every day. We played with balls we bought in the market and sometimes, we make our own balls. We made them from fresh rubber, ropes and folded papers just to play the game of soccer whenever we don't have access to good balls. So you get why I am in love with football even up till now.

I moved my love for football a little further by choosing two beautiful clubs in the world to support. I loved the way these clubs play and as well, I was attracted by some noble names in the club. And because of that, the updates I will be reeling out on sports will center majorly on these two clubs. One is a Nigerian Club and the other is a European Club. They've not performed so well recently at the champions league level - both of them, I must add.

I have observed as well with keen interest the things that are happening around the world and sometimes I tend to imagine if the apocalypse will be taken place the next day. Tuning in to news, you will hear reports of one unfortunate incident all the time. No breaking news comes good these days, most of them if not all, are always news that stress people mentally. That is why someone recommended that people should avoid news early in the morning, they spoil ones mood for the day.

In Nigeria, it is one problem or the other. If herdsmen are not entering farms and destroying crops, Boko haram and Iswap are appointing and reappointing leaders, or our representatives are trying to pass useless bills. Other times, some of the representatives are staging a walk-out. No be their fault, we go survive sha. Some of us are still looking for VISA sha (In case you are reading this from any country outside Nigeria and your country happens to be offering free VISA, please don't forget to send me a buzz. I will appreciate)... At some other times, separatist groups are running amok, protesting and also being arrested and detained.

Coupled with harsh economic realities, people loosing their jobs and thinking what to do next. Cryptocurrency crashing at all time low and giving people high blood pressure. Some of which resulted from economic shutdown that happened due to the COVID19 health situation world over. The sad reality about the current happenings is that the government elected by the people to safe guard them and their livelihood seems to be paralyzed, weak and most of the time in effective. It is not just in Nigeria or Africa, it is a major development all over the world.

Something drastic needs to be done and also soon. There is sight of third wave of the virus in some countries and it won't be favourable to anyone that will be caught in the web of lock-downs and shutdown of economic activities. World leaders need to sit down and re-strategise on how to better the lives of their populace.

The world needs healing, so says the King of Pop and now is when it is most needed.

In the midst of all these cries and weeping comes Obi Cubana and the elaborate burial that happened in Oba in the Eastern part of the country, Nigeria that has remained in the news for the past one week. Also we won't forget in a hurry that it is also in the middle of this whole brouhaha of Coronavirus that Jeff Bezoz traveled to space spending over two and a half million American Dollars in Seconds.

Did I tell you that the two clubs I am supporting are Enyimba International Football Club, Aba and Football Club Barcelona. Now you know . . .

Hey guys, I needs to stop here, the ink in my pen is finished and . . . . . . . . . . .

Investment and Today's Realities

This is Alphasoars blog for some of you that are new to this blog. Here I talk about everything as it relates to our everyday growth, personal and corporate development. I have talked about investment on this space before and you can find most of them when you click on the Checkpoint Label.

Today I want to look at investment and looking at what is currently happening in the society. There are many investment options available to everyone. It depends on the resources at your disposal in other to take up any of the numerous options. Monetary investment have seen many people depressed or even have met unfavorable circumstances due to the fact that these investment options were not yielding profit or totally crashed and investors have been left stranded.

Coin trading have characterized the world economy. The twenty first century investment is now something of personally buying investment options yourself without the need to go through the banking channels. Individuals can now buy shares, stocks and trade directly themselves. Which is quite good since you control the movement yourself. Instead of leaving your cash with the bank at a significant low interest rate of point two percent in most cases per anum, you learn how to, and trade directly by yourself and could garner as much as twenty percent on investment. Though these things, financial market trading takes time and requires rigorous training period - It is also wise to know that there are other forms of investment out there.

In today's reality, stock markets or in general, financial markets are not stable. They are never stable. They fluctuate with occurrence and happenings in the political space. Knowing this as well, will help anybody that is trading in the financial market to know that any period of great political instability should be a no-trade-period. Because the markets will be extremely volatile.

Apart from this options of stock, shares and coins trading such as the Bitcoin, Ethereum, dodge and others, the option of tangible investment should be explored. This deals with investing in physical assets such as landed properties. This investment option is never volatile, and they do appreciate reasonably with time. Those investing in real estate are of course building multi wealth opportunities in this regards. Land or properties bought today at $100 will and can never be sold at any rate lower that $101. It is most likely that a forty percent interest will be accrued within a three years period.

Major factors that could escalate prices for land and landed properties will include geometric economic growth and systematic development of areas where these properties are situated.

My take would be that anyone wanting to invest should consider investment in properties and real estate as present day realities favors such investment.

Three Remarkable Things That Happened This Week - RUNTOWN, NGOZI OKONJO IWEALA & CARPE DIEM

 >>> #EndSARS Protest. As you may have heard or seen, if you are a social media regular, the issues surrounding FSARS and the clamour for their scrapping by the Nigerian Youths. Allegations are that the outfit has become the Social and Economic crime watch of the force instead of their listed responsibilities. They stop and search vehicles, phones and laptop especially youths that dress good and maybe drive a Benz.

Popular good governance advocate, a legal luminary, Mr. Awosanya (Segalink) has on several occasions called for the reformation of the police force and particularly the tactical units. With his introduction of the #EndSars hashtags on twitter which has trended for some times now.

However, recent developments around the country has suggested that the call for the disbandment of the unit, SARS, has not been taken serious by the authorities as there has been widespread evidences of SARS brutality with videos of this harassment surfacing on daily basis on social media. To press this issues, protest has been called and called-off almost immediately as authorities has suggested to organizers.

On 8th of this month, after deliberations and dialogues, the music star, Runtown (@iRuntown) took to the streets in company of his colleagues in the industry, Folarin FALZTHEBAHDGUY, Paul RUDEOY of defunct PSQUARE in protest as they demand for the scrapping of SARS. They have vowed to continue until they are heard.

Runtown has stood out for this feat after two celebrities have cancelled their own protests previously - 2BABA and NAIRAMARLEY. He is seeing as a champ for successfully pulling youths out on the streets to protest.

Twitter people still dey debate whether na Burna boy or Runtown be the new Fela ANIKULAPO Kuti 😏

The Patient Dog Eats the Fattest Bone: Worst Mentality to Avoid!

All hail Alphasoars,

How have y'all been? I guess good. Today, I want to put out my thoughts on the above subject. So much is been said on daily basis about dogs and bones. Inadvertently talking about, Patience and satisfaction to those that understand and those that don't.
It is an agreeable fact that patience is a virtue. It is a virtue that has been looked down on by many people. But I won't go into telling you how and for what reasons it seems to be so but my discuss is coming on the heels of my personal disagreement to the always stated 'fact' that patient dog eats the fattest bone.

Of a truth it is! But on a second thought from my wondering mind, I think is is wickedness to settle for patience in the sight of abundance. Why would you allow your dog wallow in emptiness of the stomach just to wait for you to finish the flesh, the yummy side of the meat? Has the dogs announced that they are patiently waiting for only bones? I think no! They only pick bones which have been thrown away as waste but they never want to take bones in the sight of fleshy food.

In life, people have also been made to think that way - waiting patiently for the last meal instead of reaching forth to 'grab' something for themselves. This set of people have had their thinking faculties washed with bleach and so many detergent that they aught not to press harder to get what they need instead they should wait for 'all to come to pass' and the gathered bones would be accrued to them.

Lord Help!!! Our Churches Run the Highest Cabal in the World!

If you hear me mention half the name of your church as you read on, then you can complete the rest for me, otherwise, no church is in focus as I hit the keys on my keyboard. Just what every other person has noticed but might not want to say, write or query. And that might be because of lack of opportunity to express such views or the criticism it might bring.

The church as I had always known is basically culled from a Greek word which means called out or called out ones. In essence, it has no physical attribution to things such as buildings. But for the smooth gathering of the called out people for "Fellowship", "Braking of Bread" and "Prayers", there has been need for physical place of gathering.

In a sense, you are not been called out from where you were to start loafing about, no. There is a place that the most High has put his name and there, you must gather to receive commands on your lines of action.

After Christ left earth, the disciples decided to build themselves another country, a separated place where they will just stay and hide from what is going on in the world. The people that have lands, quickly sold the lands, those that have occultist materials burnt them. They brought all they have to the place of gathering and 'laid' what they've brought before the Apostles feet. From here, foods were bought and was cooked, served equally. Dedicated men were set aside for this mission of whom Stephen was among.

Later, they were found wanting. They have left preaching and were serving tables. Persecution came, they were dispersed. Every man preached where he found himself.
First lesson, they were not meant to acquire any form of colony for themselves to live in since they are not to just stay at a particular place.

At the mount of transfiguration, Jesus took three men with him and these were from the inner circle. After the incident that shook them, Peter made a statement, "Master, it is good for us to be here" (In his heart, he has alienated the other nine. Maybe to him, they weren't holy enough since Jesus didn't bother bringing them to witness his transfiguration), "... Let us make three tabernacles here, (He was already trying to settle at the mount without the others) one for you, one for Moses and the other for Elijah". The Master never consented since that wasn’t in the plans.

We are having a real issue in our churches today. Firstly, it is a matter of doctrine. Everyone thinks he is the right man, speaking directly the mind of God. He might decide to focus on whatsoever theme he pleases. Be it Prosperity, Righteousness, Holiness, Heaven, love or whatever he believes is his 'calling'. But maybe that's not the issue here. What's the issue then?

Our churches today have alienated themselves from the world in every sense. They have gone back to 'before the persecution'.
They build cathedrals; people sell their land or give it up to 'churches', sell their cars and bring in the money to the church.
They are 'inside the churches now' (staying), braking bread daily, they are having internal fellowships daily, they are having prayers daily. Is that not what happened before the persecution came and they were all scattered?

In our beloved country, time is coming and every denomination is going to be a country of its own. How do I mean?
They have their own 'named cathedrals', they have their own schools and hospitals, they have their own transport systems, their markets and economics systems are streamlined to suit their members and none members find them uncomfortable, they won't have any option than to back off. Are Christians of the twenty first century not calling for another round of persecution?

8 Ways to Live Better Than Yesterday

All Hail Alphasoars . . .

Happy new week to you. Hope you had a great weekend and set for another week of activeness and achievement. The month as well ends tomorrow and ushering us into November, the second to the last month.
I wish everyone a flavoured, favoured and fruitful week and happy new month in advance.

Today, I shall within three minutes look at 8 ways one can live a life that is better than what we had yesterday. The views expressed are practical, quit engaging and also simple to indulge in. Every one of us has had some bad days in the past. Maybe yesterday or some other days gone by, but waking up doing the same thing you did then will not make you any better. To get better, you avoid certain things and imbibe certain also.

Let's get to it, Shall we?

Read a good and motivating book
They have always said, information hidden from Africans are be found in a book. I think that saying is true because most of us don't have time to open the covers of any written materials. We are always in a hurry to break new grounds but the needed information to do that, we don't have. We rely on a piece of advice we receive from our immediate friends and close associates.
But alas, if yesterday wasn't fruitful as you had wished, why don't you visit the nearest bookshop and shop some books that cut across your line of engagement and put yourself through and stop relying on half-baked information from 'quacks'.
Whatever you are trying to venture in today has already been tried by someone else somewhere and some of these people that have tried it have made themselves generous by putting down their experiences on the pages of a book so you too won't make any mistakes. So today, to make the best of it, find a good and motivating book and read through.

The Only Place to Find God

All Hail Alphasoars . . .

Where is that place we can find God? Because it seems many people are having a difficult time locating it. Let us ride to see if we can get there - God willing. Shall we?

The only place to find God is not in your local church, your pastor books or even your religion. It is in a place much higher and greater than the Bible you read. So many people read the Bible, the get inspired from it and inadvertently commit themselves to the guidelines listed therein.
The Bible is 'too common' and therefore could be used by all and sundry. Whoever gets to a bookshop and demands for a bible will not be denied one because he is not a church goer or put 'properly' 'a Christian'.

The Bible reveals the way - The Word. It is through the Word that we find God. But where exactly do we find God? It is a question we can answer by carefully asking ourselves "Do I know God". Like Paul the Apostle, His main aim was knowing Jesus and not finding him because it is by the knowing that we could then Find Him.
Simply put, I want to meet someone I have not met before. I would need a clear description of whom and how that person is because by that when I come across him or her, I won't just pass by without knowing.

So the Bible, the Church is kind of a road map that guides you to God. But someone is asking me the difference between knowing him and Finding God.

Airtel: Theft in the Morning!

All hail Alphasoars . . .

Our amiable President is back into the country. He gave some minutes speech earlier today where he addressed the nation on mostly National security and which has sparked outrage and fury from the opposition. They expected him to tell the country how he will turn the polity overnight but for crying out loud Baba went for medical treatment, he wasn't attending Harvard Business School or some seminar of some sort. Give him time. At least twenty more months, lols: D.

I talked about telecommunication networks in this post. But today I have to call out one. Every team wearing red has something in common as it is that atom of instability.
Manchester United FC has kept their red jersey intact but since last two seasons, they have been dancing around the premier league table, like, first today, tomorrow sixth and next the bottom of the table. But we keep praying for them so that the legacy Sir Alex Ferguson left them won't be dead and forgotten in a rush.

Yet Again, ASUU strikes Nigerian Students!!!

All hail Alphasoars . . .

I nor dey happy at all at all. Just learnt in the news that our own very Academic Staff Union of Universities alias ASUU have gone on an indefinite strike. This according to the memo they released, is on the basis that the federal government has not been able to implement all agreement they reached in 2013 during the administration of the past government.

It is very painful to hear that in a country as Nigerians, none of her graduates will boast of a hitch, strike free four years of study in the higher institution.
Our resources, if harnessed are enough to take care of these issues that are always arising. I don't see a country that wants to succeed but won’t invest in the lives of the younger generations through education and providing opportunities for these ones to basic amenities for their self improvement.

Ijele

All hail Alphasoars . . .

Howdy all? Who else has been listening to the news lately? Our own dear Lai Mohammed, the Honourable Minister for Information and Culture has received many backlashes following his declaration that Nigerian trying to shoot their movies or music videos abroad will not enjoy a smiling face from the Federal Government.
"We cannot continue to go to South Africa or any other country to produce and then send them back to be consumed in Nigeria" was part of the statements credited to him on the issue.

I think the South Africa issue has got to do with the recently concluded Big Brother Naija that was hosted in South Africa which was supposedly a Nigerian thingy. Oh well, what do I know as regarding the entertainment industry. He has being largely criticized by the Entertainment industry key players.

My main talk today is not about what they are saying but something else I find very interesting and wish to share one or two of my views, still on the entertainment industry.

Some weeks ago, a popular singer released his album with title as mine. That's normal and overdue for his fans. Something caught my attention while browsing on YouTube and finding someone with name as Semah G. Weifur.

He has been a fan of the artist for some time now having in mind to meet him in person someday. it happened that earlier this year, the singer was having a tour in his country, Liberia. As his luck caught a better part of the argument, March 2017 he finally met in person his idol. He performed one of his songs live in the singer’s presence.

May 2017, about two months later he, Semah was in Nigeria to see his music idol. They had good moments. Funny enough, last week of June, the singer released his album and guess who was featured in the last track, Semah G. Weifur.

Designing for the Future

Design is the skeletal framework done by a designer that shows an intending structure. Of recent, many areas have inquired and adopted design abilities due to advancement in technology and science. The years are fast revealing many design varieties. We have moved from Pencil on Paper designs to 2D designs and then to 3D and so on.
These varieties of design have in time revealed to designers in different areas the ability to control an installation or a building before it is eventually built.
In this post, I will be focusing on buildings and architectural designs. So let us flow together. Shall we?

Design technologies have made designing buildings and architectural edifice easier. With this, architectural designs, if not properly observed will adversely affect the property owners and the environment in the nearest future due to many facts such as climate change, modifiability and maintenance of such edifices. The future taken into consideration, the following should constitute decision making guidelines.

Idiosyncrasies of Social Media

All hail Alphasoars . . .

How has the soaring gone? I hope good.

Social media has gone from communication to confusion. When Daniel in the Bible said, Oh Lord, to us belong confusion of faces" (Daniel 9:8), I think he was actually referring to this age. The time where what we see in the media is either the adulterated or fake of the original.

I joined Facebook in 2012 (guess so). I never thought it was something used not only for information and message sharing but for show of whatever nonsense one have got (food, cloth, property). Is this the real reason why Facebook was created.

As the days go by, we find that social media channels are becoming funnier and dirtier. It has been a means of many social vices which might not be committed in actually sense.

Respect died many years ago since we can always sit at the back of our mobile devices and use our fingers and insult our elders without nothing happening. This in real sense has made the respect known in Africa to just die. Where elders talk in real life and little kids will never show face, on social media it is entirely a different ball game. Youngsters engage in conversations never meant for them. Social media has degraded decent social interactions.

My Country, How fah?

All hail Alphasoars . . .

It's been a while since our last post in here. I have issues that have been bothering me the past few days. The first one is that I can't find my president. The Nigerian president has been away for the past two months and no information whatsoever regarding his whereabouts.
I totally don't get it when our government cannot be accountable to the people that put them on the seat. Nigerian people are people that easily adapt to changes, no doubt. I think, that is why when they feel what they are doing is to the detriment of the people, they will still go ahead knowing the masses will in the long run accept it as their fate. Pathetic.

Secondly, our economy is not growing. What the heck is not happening. Empower citizens, they will not. Instead, they find two Keke, four sowing machine, three motorcycles and maybe some branded shirts and wheel barrows and they still has the guts to organise shows just to commission those silly item they bought for 'their people' and that also 'with the people's money'.
When you did a borehole and you celebrate. So you don't know you are supposed to provide water, electricity and other social amenities for the people. Okay, Ka'odiwazie!
